First time at this restaurant. It is one of few that are open on Monday! It is well worth the drive. Inside the restaurant is very well done, bright cheery, local nautical decor. We were provided with the current menu and then a second menu with a few items being added to the menu. 2 of us ordered from the extra menu, 2 from the regular. The pictures of the fish and chips which we saw did not look like very large pieces of pickerel.. well, the two pieces my husband got were very generous.. one piece must have been almost a foot long, it touched both sides of his plate. A generous serving of fries, coleslaw and tarter. Enjoyed very much, $29 The mac & cheese did not look like much when it was brought out, but it was delicious and a good amount. $15, she said it could've maybe used a piece of garlic toast or something to go with it.. but it was delicious. The other pasta was truffles and cheese. He added a protein, chicken. I think it was $29. It came with a small roll too. This person said it was very good, but could've had a bit more pasta, he was still a bit hungry. I had the cheese burger with fries. It was very good, a nice bun, all the fixings and a generous amount of fries, I could not eat them all. $23. I believe we will be back, we enjoy supporting the locally owned small place. This place was very friendly, were not rushed.. there are only 7 tables during the winter.. but it makes it homey and cozy.

This is a great little neighborhood food joint! We stopped in as we were visiting from the NY/ NJ area and it was a perfect place for a snack + ice cream. Be sure to try their soft serve as they said it’s new. I got a BLT which was delicious. The bacon was very tasty. They are open for every meal and there’s even a bar as well. Overall I’d recommend this place for anyone staying in Thunder Beach!

Stopped by the Friendly Corner for a quick drink with the family over the weekend, and I cannot rate the experience highly enough! Great atmosphere, fantastic cocktails, cold beer - what more could you ask for! I've been meaning to stop in for a meal but haven't had a chance yet, though everyone I've spoken to says the food is great! Connor and team have done a fantastic job with the update, I can't wait for my next visit!

A must visit local gem of Thunder Beach! This landmark has been completely redone and features great Gastropub fare with full bar, wine and beer on tap too! Connor Michelle and service team deliver way beyond their tongue-in-cheek "Always polite, sometimes friendly" motto. Cute dining room, HUGE patio. And of course ice cream and coffee to go!
